Bummer, dude, it’s true.  JoeLaz’s Last.fm weekly best scrobbler has been dead for a half a year already.  
It was interesting - I let it run, and I would get random comments, emails, instant messages, or spontaneous conversations at live events, about music I had been listening to, because people had seen my weekly top 5.   I remember distinctly, “I NEVER would have pegged you for a fan of Paul Oakenfold.”
Now, JoeLaz’s plugin is dead, but many other solutions have sprouted up like mushrooms.  Most conspicuously, Facebook’s ticker scrobble.  And that…. is subject for a separate post.
